Global Supply Chain Group Leader

Role summary / purpose As a Global Supply Chain Group Leader, you are responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment. You will participate in the training, developing and evaluating of hourly team members, and contribute to the development of highly effective teams. You will lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas. Key responsibilities • Meet or exceed production cost schedules and maintain quality requirements • Maintain awareness of quality standards, communicate department quality goals, and leverage resources to solve quality issues • Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management • Understand and consistently administer National and Local Agreements • Implement and follow systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues • Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping • Motivate, train and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods • Ensure team members receive adequate job instruction training (JIT) • Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing and synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, cost control, and productivity improvements • Coach, teach, counsel and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities
