Advanced Design Technician

Role summary / purpose This level requires thorough knowledge of tasks assigned at the Design Technician level. For a position to be classified at this level, there must be a demonstrated need for a work leader or for a technically advanced design technician. A work leader is responsible for coordinating and monitoring projects of assigned personnel, typically overseeing 3-5 workers and a total of 8-10 projects. Key responsibilities • Coordinate and monitor projects of assigned personnel • Evaluate work requests for complexity and scheduling conflicts • Assign work to workers in the team • Perform tasks at the Design Technician level Requirements – education & experience Thorough knowledge of Design Technician level tasks and demonstrated capability to work as a technical leader or advanced design technician.
