Role summary / purpose We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer who leverages AI-assisted development to build high-quality, scalable cloud applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about using modern AI tools to accelerate software development, improve code quality, automate testing, and increase engineering productivity. This individual is a self-starter who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, quickly learning new technologies, and delivering secure, scalable solutions in AWS. Key responsibilities • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions • Assist with data preparation, feature engineering, model evaluation, and implementing algorithms using established frameworks • Develop, test, and maintain ML models and AI-driven features • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers • Debug issues and participate in code reviews • Build high-quality, scalable cloud applications using AI-assisted development tools Requirements – education & experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience • 2+ years of professional software development experience • Demonstrated experience using AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar) as an integral part of the software development lifecycle • Experience developing software using one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Go (Golang), or JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience designing and deploying applications in AWS • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices Required skills • Strong proficiency in Python or modern programming languages (Java, Go, JavaScript) • Familiarity with data structures and algorithms • Version control expertise • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new technologies Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Exposure to agentic and generative AI systems • Experience with modern AI development tools and workflows • Experience building and deploying scalable cloud applications
