Role summary / purpose The Communications and Digital Content Lead will develop and execute the communications strategy for the updated SDLC. The role will create clear, engaging, and audience-specific communications that build awareness, understanding, and support. The position will also lead completion and ongoing management of the FPLS AI communications hub, including landing pages, resource pages, sponsor content, newsletters, frequently asked questions, training links, and go-live information. Key responsibilities • Develop and maintain the SDLC communications strategy, audience plan, editorial calendar, and content backlog. • Produce and distribute a biweekly SDLC newsletter. • Draft sponsor messages, executive announcements, leadership talking points, manager communications, and employee updates. • Create audience-specific content explaining why the SDLC is changing, what is changing, who is affected, and what action is required. • Complete the information architecture, content structure, launch, and governance of the FPLS AI communications hub. • Create and maintain landing pages for handbooks, training, process maps, templates, videos, office hours, and support resources. • Establish publishing, approval, version control, accessibility, archiving, and review standards. • Develop FAQs, milestone updates, launch countdowns, success stories, and reinforcement campaigns. • Coordinate sponsor video scripts, storyboards, production, transcripts, and companion written content. • Monitor page visits, newsletter engagement, downloads, feedback, and content effectiveness. • Conduct message testing, surveys, interviews, or listening sessions to assess audience understanding and improve content. • Maintain brand, terminology, privacy, confidentiality, accessibility, and editorial quality standards across all channels. • Create manager and change-champion communication toolkits and rapid-response communications for emerging issues or schedule changes. • Govern distribution lists, audience targeting, content review dates, and updates triggered by approved process changes. • Support go-live communications, known-issue updates, office-hours promotion, and post-launch reinforcement. Requirements – education & experience • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, business, digital media, or a related field. • Four or more years developing communications for organizational, process, or technology change. • Experience translating technical information into clear employee communications. • Experience managing digital content, SharePoint sites, intranet pages, or internal communications hubs. Required skills • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and message-development skills. • Advanced graphic design skills, including the ability to create polished layouts, visual communications, presentations, and digital assets using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable platforms. • Ability to manage multiple content deadlines, stakeholders, and approval cycles. Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Experience supporting SDLC, cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology governance, or process initiatives. • Experience with SharePoint, Teams, Stream, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe tools, or comparable platforms. • Experience producing executive video and multimedia content. • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive communication standards. • Experience using analytics to…
