Role summary / purpose As an Enterprise Security Command Center Console Operator, you'll be the first line of defense protecting critical infrastructure. This role involves operating advanced security systems, managing real-time alarm response and threat assessment, and maintaining enterprise-wide situational awareness during critical events. You're not just monitoring screens—you're safeguarding essential services that millions of homes and businesses depend on. Key responsibilities • Operate advanced electronic security systems, intrusion detection, and video surveillance • Respond to real-time alarms and conduct threat assessment • Manage access control for critical energy facilities • Handle emergency communications and mass notification systems • Conduct incident investigation including video analysis and report writing • Maintain enterprise-wide situational awareness during critical events Requirements – education & experience • High school diploma/GED and 1 year in Security Operations Center, 911 Dispatch, Law Enforcement, OR technical support with physical access control systems Required skills • Exceptional multitasking and communication abilities • Proficiency with computers and MS Office • Unshakeable composure under pressure • Meticulous attention to detail • High level of discretion and confidentiality • Dependability and outstanding work ethics • Ability to triage multiple priorities and make quick decisions Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology with 3-5 years relevant experience • Public Safety emergency dispatch background (law enforcement, Fire, or EMS) • Experience with physical access control systems • Security Operations Center (SOC) experience Employment details – type, location, hours Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Available Shifts: • 1st Shift: 6am–2pm • 2nd Shift: 2pm–10pm • 3rd Shift: 10pm–6am Schedule: Mon-Fri, Tue-Sat, or Wed-Sun. Priority consideration for night shift and weekend availability. Note: Training begins on 1st shift (4-6 weeks), then transition to assigned shift. Flexibility for shift coverage, overtime, and holidays required.
