About this role

Role summary / purpose Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality, and deploying the software to meet customer requirements. Full-stack software engineering roles who can develop all components of software including user interface and server side also fall within this job function. Key responsibilities • Architect production-ready integrations and custom utilities to embed AI tools into workflows. Act as the technical lead for prompt design and LLM orchestration to automate code generation across React, Angular, Spring Boot, and other frameworks. • Design and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines to deploy developer utilities. Modernize tooling infrastructure using Terraform IaC and containerized workloads on Kubernetes. • Own the end-to-end API lifecycle. Design and secure high-throughput backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Go, or Python. Integrate with enterprise API gateways using OAuth2/JWT. • Build ETL/ELT workflows to process and move developer data from cloud storage to reporting layers. • Define, surface, and analyze key DevOps performance metrics including DORA metrics such as Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and Mean Time to Recovery to drive engineering effectiveness and continuous improvement. • Design and maintain dashboards to track utility adoption and platform performance. • Embody Agile/XP practices through Test-Driven Development and continuous integration. Serve as a technical escalation point to resolve complex build, scan, and deployment issues while mentoring junior engineers. Requirements – education & experience • 6 years in IT • 4 years in development • Practical experience in 2 coding languages or advanced practical experience in 1 language Required skills • Software design and architecture • Full-stack development capabilities • Test-Driven Development and continuous integration practices • Technical mentoring and escalation support Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Strong programming proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Go, or Python coupled with modern frontend frameworks such as React, TypeScript, or Angular • Expert-level knowledge of RESTful API development, API Gateway management, and enterprise security protocols including OAuth2 and JWT • Hands-on experience designing data pipelines to process, clean, and move data from cloud storage to analytics engines, alongside data visualization experience • Deep understanding of Extreme Programming (XP) practices, continuous delivery, and collaborative software engineering across global cross-functional teams Equal opportunity statement We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
