Role summary / purpose Individuals have primary responsibility for the design, development, and maintenance of reporting, dashboard, and data warehouse solutions (Power BI, SSAS models, SSRS, SQL, etc.) that support decision making within the Power Grid Operations organization. Key responsibilities • Work with internal customers on the development of reporting requirements • Use technical understanding of existing reporting warehouses, or develop local warehouses when necessary to support the development of solutions • Aggregate data from various data sources to automate manual business processes • Develop medium to complex solutions using Power BI or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) • Support creation and maintenance of tabular models and cubes in PowerPivot or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) • Develop medium to complex SQL against either Oracle or SQL Server databases • Apply extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing fundamentals • Work with database design, creating tables and views, or writing stored procedures • Work with Power Automate and/or Power Apps • Document warehouses to support cross training of co-workers • Interface with internal organizations such as Finance, Project Management, or Resource Management to facilitate solution delivery • Coordinate with Information Technology on requests • Develop solutions to complex business problems in a systematic manner • Apply Project Management fundamentals to help drive projects and initiatives to successful conclusions Required skills • Extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing fundamentals • Experience in database design, creating tables and views, or writing stored procedures • Medium to complex SQL development against Oracle or SQL Server databases • Power BI or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) development • PowerPivot or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) experience • Power Automate and/or Power Apps experience Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Familiarity with Agile fundamentals • Report development, metrics and analytics experience • Experience with Primavera P6 Project Portfolio Management application • Python programming language experience • Advanced Excel features (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) • AI tools experience • Teams and SharePoint experience • Strong communication skills • Demonstrated problem solving skills Employment details – type, location, hours Location: Raleigh and Charlotte
