Distribution Engineering Coordinator

Role summary / purpose Responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing distribution customer requested work, mandated work, line maintenance tasks, capital projects and day-to-day design activities for the Distribution Engineering Design team. Key responsibilities • Contact external customers within one working day and schedule appointments for customers to meet with a Designer, including collecting design information during customer calls • Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies related to customer requests; provide customers with information on tasks required to receive service on requested dates • Manage Design resources within a geographic area by assigning each Designer to primary and secondary geographic areas; monitor Designer calendars to schedule appointments effectively and efficiently • Communicate regularly with Designers regarding assignments, schedules, and questions related to specific customer calls • Communicate periodically with Network Line groups to expedite work and meet customer requested service dates or handle special requests • Identify and rectify root causes of customer complaints and inquiries • Maintain working knowledge of AM/FM-DFM and Maximo as they relate to construction applications • Review and update Maximo Backlogs for the Distribution Engineering Department; identify deficiencies, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions • Serve as a member of the Storm Response Team for restoration efforts; provide support to Damage Assessment and/or Logistics functions Requirements – education & experience • Associate degree or equivalent work experience • 2 years Transmission or Distribution experience • 1 year of Maximo and CCS experience Required skills • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and analytical skills • Experience or training in scheduling resources, maintenance, and construction practices • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and database applications Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Knowledge of Maximo, GDT, AM/FM DFM, Storm Assist, and Power BI • Experience with CCS • Knowledge of Distribution Line construction, maintenance, and materials
