Role summary / purpose The Process Validation and Improvement (PVI) team is a highly specialized group that plays a lead role in root cause analysis and end-to-end process improvements to mitigate risk for Global Purchasing contracts. PVI is responsible for proactively identifying supplier overpayment situations, collaborating with Global Purchasing to recover overpayment amounts, and ensuring that contracts are updated to reflect accurate contract pricing. The Financial Analyst role reports to a Finance Supervisor, GBS PVI, and supports the team's mission of maintaining contract pricing accuracy across the supply base. Key responsibilities • Analyze contracts to identify contract errors and recovery opportunities • Provide financial analysis and support using Global systems to determine the cause of pricing errors on contracts with the supply base • Deliver high-quality audit results to communicate contract issues to purchasing stakeholders • Analyze ad-hoc reports and review contract reports to identify saving opportunities • Interface with various levels within the organization in both group and individual settings to review cases and key areas where differences are identified between the Purchasing system and supplier contracts • Work with key stakeholders to review audit results and agree on recovery approach • Support purchasing in negotiations with suppliers • Drive timely closure of open audits and recovery of overpayments within stipulated timeframes • Meet targets on key metrics including contract touch rate, study aging, and cost recoveries • Perform special studies as requested by stakeholders Required skills • Customer Focus • Decision Making • Drive for Results • Interpersonal Savvy • Teamwork • Organizing • Functional Expertise • Implementer mindset • Change Management • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Basic arithmetic and logic proficiency Employment details – type, location, hours This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
