Role summary / purpose Analyzes business processes and practices to design and implement information technology solutions that meet customer needs and business initiatives. Applies advanced analytical skills within the functional area and interprets internal or external business issues to recommend best practices. Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects and is recognized as an expert in their own area within the organization. Key responsibilities • Develop functional specifications by translating business requirements into clear and concise functional documentation • Perform testing and validation by collaborating with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate the solution against business requirements, and ensure proper functionality • Monitor and evaluate solution performance by tracking and measuring the effectiveness of implemented solutions Requirements – education & experience • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration • 6-10 years of experience in business analysis, IT systems analysis, and technology implementation • 3+ years as a Business Analyst on software/IT projects • Hands-on familiarity with the full SDLC (requirements, design, development, test, deploy, support) Required skills • Requirements gathering and documentation (user stories, use cases, BRD/FRD) • Experience working directly with development teams in Agile/Scrum environments • Data literacy: SQL querying, reading data models and ERDs • Strong understanding of project management processes and principles • Experience in IT budget forecasting • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as SAP, BOBJ, and BPC
