Role summary / purpose Analyzes business processes and practices to design and implement information technology solutions that meet customer needs and business initiatives. Applies advanced analytical skills within the functional area and interprets internal or external business issues to recommend best practices. Solves complex problems, takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, and works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects and is recognized as an expert in their own area within the organization. Key responsibilities • Develop functional specifications by translating business requirements into clear and concise functional documentation • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements • Develop user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria • Perform testing and validation by collaborating with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate the solution against business requirements, and ensure proper functionality • Monitor and evaluate solution performance by tracking and measuring the effectiveness of implemented solutions • Support Tax and IT stakeholders across multiple initiatives • Analyze APIs, JSON payloads, system integrations, and data flows • Write and execute SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting • Collaborate with developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Support UAT, defect resolution, and production readiness activities • Participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement • Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives • Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum Teams • Clarify requirements during development and testing cycles Requirements – education & experience • Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration) • 6-10 years of experience in business analysis, IT systems analysis, and technology implementation Required skills • Strong understanding of project management processes and principles • Experience in IT budget forecasting • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as SAP, BOBJ, and BPC • Knowledge of document management platforms, SharePoint, and metadata management • SQL query writing and execution for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Power BI, or similar tools
