IT Systems Administrator - Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

Role summary / purpose Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computing infrastructure, operating systems, and/or middleware products on all computer platforms, including mainframes, workstations, servers, and web servers, in support of 24x7 business processes. Evaluates, implements, and modifies operating system software parameters and/or product solutions for optimal performance. Identifies integration and other interface requirements for all supported products and platforms. Ensures cybersecurity measures, automation, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities • Provide daily operational and technical support for NAMS and Asset Suite 9. • Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, database connectivity, interface, printing, and user-access issues. • Respond to incidents, service requests, and application alerts in accordance with established service-level expectations. • Support system startups, shutdowns, failovers, switchovers, disaster recovery exercises, and planned maintenance activities. • Assist with Asset Suite 9 and NAMS environment validation following upgrades, patching, server maintenance, database work, or datacenter activities. • Coordinate issue resolution across application, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, networking, and vendor support teams. • Perform application health checks and identify potential availability or performance concerns. • Support batch processing, interfaces, scheduled jobs, integrations, and data-transfer activities. • Assist with user provisioning, access reviews, role assignments, and security-related support activities. • Develop and maintain operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, support documentation, and knowledge articles. • Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities for recurring or high-impact issues. • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or other approved automation platforms. • Support testing and implementation of application enhancements, patches, configuration changes, and infrastructure upgrades. • Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, testing results, system configurations, and completed activities. • Provide onsite support for other assigned technology, infrastructure, and operational tasks. • Participate in an on-call or after-hours support rotation when required. • Follow all applicable cybersecurity, change-management, regulatory, safety, and site-access requirements. Requirements – education & experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. 6-10 years of experience managing IT infrastructure, enterprise IT systems, and cloud-based solutions.
