Role summary / purpose The Lead Solutions & Automation Architect is responsible for the design, development, integration, and ongoing support of technology solutions that enable the Vendor Management Office (VMO) and broader IT vendor ecosystem. This role serves as the technical leader for strategic VMO initiatives focused on vendor governance, procurement and SOW management, contract lifecycle enablement, workforce and spend analytics, vendor performance management, AI value realization, and process automation. The position will translate VMO business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions that improve decision-making, strengthen governance, reduce manual effort, and enable measurable business and financial outcomes. Key responsibilities • Lead the architecture, design, development, and support of applications, automation platforms, analytics capabilities, and technology solutions supporting VMO operations and strategy • Design and maintain scalable solutions utilizing Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Power Platform, APIs, SQL databases, Databricks, and cloud-native services • Develop and support applications, portals, dashboards, workflow automations, reporting solutions, and decision-support tools • Translate VMO processes and business requirements into scalable technical solutions • Establish reusable architecture patterns, development standards, and technical best practices • Serve as the technical lead for automation and digitization of VMO processes, including vendor intake and engagement workflows, SOW and services procurement processes, vendor governance and approval workflows, contract and commercial management processes, vendor performance management, QBR/BBR preparation and reporting, contractor and workforce governance, and spend, savings, productivity, and financial reporting • Leverage Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Databricks, APIs, and other enterprise technologies to simplify processes, eliminate manual activities, improve data quality, and strengthen governance • Develop dashboards and executive reporting solutions that provide visibility into vendor spend, workforce, performance, risk, financial commitments, productivity, and value realization • Design and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve VMO productivity, analytics, decision-making, and vendor governance • Identify opportunities to leverage AI agents, copilots, automation, and generative AI across sourcing, contracting, vendor management, reporting, and governance processes • Develop capabilities to support measurement and reporting of AI-enabled vendor productivity and value realization • Establish development standards for AI agents, copilots, automation solutions, and generative AI applications • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine applicability to VMO and procurement processes • Ensure AI solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance, responsible AI, and data governance requirements • Develop and maintain an integrated VMO data ecosystem supporting vendor, contract, SOW, PO, workforce, financial, performance, and governance information • Design integrations connecting procurement, financial, workforce, contract, and vendor management systems • Develop integrations across platforms such as Microsoft, AWS, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Databricks, and enterprise procurement systems Required skills • Full-stack application development • Microsoft Power Platform expertise • Enterprise inte…
