Role summary / purpose This is an intermediate level Project Controls Specialist position. Workers at this level are responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments with general oversight. Workers effectively apply fundamental project controls principles and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. This role is for a project scheduler who must have hands-on experience using Primavera (P6) as the scheduling software. Key responsibilities • Lead schedule review meetings and work with the project team to obtain information to build and update project schedules • Apply project controls principles and procedures to complex and varied assignments • Manage project control assignments with general oversight • Collaborate with project teams of varying levels across various organizations and external suppliers/vendors Requirements – education & experience • Graduation from a two-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent field • Minimum of 2 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera (P6) • Alternatively, minimum of 5 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera (P6) in lieu of a degree • Working knowledge of project controls principles Required skills • Hands-on experience with Primavera (P6) scheduling software • Working knowledge to proficiency with project management and project controls concepts • Proficiency with computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets • Proven collaborative team member Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent field • PMI or AACE certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP, or equivalent) • Experience with software such as Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Powerplant, Maximo, or PeopleSoft Employment details – type, location, hours • Position type: Full-time • Duration: 3 years • Location: Charlotte, NC • Work arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days per week in office • Site visit: Once per month
