Role summary / purpose Designs, builds, and deploys automated process solutions across the procurement organization using low-code/no-code automation and business application platforms. This role delivers process discovery, simplification, workflow automation, application development, automation governance, testing, adoption, and continuous improvement. The role also supports tooling, data visibility, and reporting that enables effective part tracking and business readiness. This includes translating operational needs into system and reporting requirements, coordinating enhancements with business and IT partners, monitoring data quality and system performance, maintaining actionable dashboards and status views, and supporting users through issue resolution, training, and process adoption. Requirements – education & experience • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of process improvement or process automation experience • OR Master's degree and no experience • OR At least 3 years of process improvement or process automation experience Key responsibilities • Design, build, test, and deploy automated workflows that streamline manual, repetitive procurement processes, including approvals, notifications, status tracking, data reconciliation, and cross-system handoffs. • Partner with process owners and stakeholders to map current-state processes, quantify manual effort, identify root causes and control gaps, and redesign processes using structured process improvement methods before automating them. • Develop and maintain lightweight custom applications, data platforms, and workflow solutions that serve as reliable systems of record and provide users with clear, self-service visibility into process status and exceptions. • Establish and apply automation governance, including reusable components, naming conventions, environment strategy, documentation standards, access controls, and testing and validation practices to ensure solutions are supportable, scalable, secure, and auditable. • Troubleshoot and remediate automation defects, data integrity issues, workflow failures, and application issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions with minimal business disruption. • Lead change management, end-user training, work instructions, release communication, and adoption planning for newly automated or enhanced processes. • Track and report automation outcomes, including cycle-time reduction, error reduction, process compliance, adoption, and hours returned to the business, to support prioritization and continued investment. • Support internal business applications and digital tools used for part tracking and readiness by gathering requirements, translating business needs into user stories or enhancement requests, supporting testing and releases, and coordinating issue resolution with business, data, and IT partners. • Monitor and validate data completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and traceability across source systems and reporting outputs; investigate discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions, and document data definitions, assumptions, and lineage. • Coordinate user support, access, training, and adoption for assigned tools and reports; maintain solution documentation and reusable assets to strengthen business continuity and accelerate future improvements.
