Senior Project Controls Scheduler

Role summary / purpose Senior Project Controls Scheduler position requiring advanced Primavera (P6) expertise. This is an expert-level role within the Project Controls classification hierarchy where the successful candidate will lead the development of reporting systems for project controls assignments. The role involves performing complex aspects of individual scheduling, change documentation, and cost control while reporting to program or portfolio level. The Principal Project Controls Specialist will train and teach other members of the PC organization with minimal oversight and wide latitude for unreviewed work. This position is typically assigned to high-volume projects classified as White and above, ranging from $100M to greater than $500M with high complexity levels. Key responsibilities • Lead schedule review meetings and work with project teams to obtain information to build and update project schedules • Perform complex aspects of individual scheduling, change documentation, and cost control • Report up to program or portfolio level • Train and teach other members of the PC organization • Work independently with advanced Primavera (P6) skills • Interact with individuals of varying levels of maturity across various organizations and external Suppliers/Vendors Requirements – education & experience • Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent field • Minimum of 7 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera (P6) • Alternatively, minimum of 11 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera (P6) in lieu of a degree • Expert-level knowledge of project controls principles • Expertise and mastery with project management and project controls concepts, computer applications, and analytics • Demonstrated hands-on experience using Primavera (P6) as the scheduling software Required skills • Advanced proficiency with Primavera (P6) • Project controls and project management expertise • Employee development capabilities • Strong collaborative team member with oversight abilities • Analytics and computer application skills Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Master's degree in business, finance, project management, or equivalent • PMI or AACE certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP, or equivalent) • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft, and risk management tools Employment details – type, location, hours Full-time, hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in office.
