About this role

Role summary / purpose This role supports the Substation Engineering organization by maintaining, updating, and controlling substation material drawings and related documentation. The primary focus is ensuring drawings and assemblies are accurate, current, and properly linked within backend reporting systems. Key responsibilities • Review and validate substation material and equipment drawings for accuracy • Coordinate with substation equipment manufacturers to obtain the latest material drawings for parts and assemblies • Perform document revision and document control activities within internal systems • Identify outdated or inaccurate drawings and research, obtain, and update to the latest revisions • Maintain proper linkage between revised drawings and backend reporting systems • Support creation of new substation assemblies by linking components within a 2D CAD drawing environment • Work through high volumes of substation material documentation with strong attention to detail Requirements – education & experience • Experience working with substation equipment, drawings, or substation engineering documentation • Ability to review technical drawings and determine accuracy against current standards or manufacturer data • Experience with document control, revision management, or engineering change processes • Familiarity with 2D CAD environments (for viewing, linking, or creating assemblies) • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn internal systems and workflows • High attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive, detail oriented work accurately Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Prior experience supporting substation engineering or utility environments • Experience interacting with equipment manufacturers or vendors for technical documentation • Background as an Engineering Technologist or similar technical role • Experience working with large volumes of engineering or asset documentation Employment details – type, location, hours Full time, hybrid, 3 days per week in office
