Role summary / purpose We are currently seeking a Supply Continuity Manager to join our Procurement team. This position will support the implementation of supplier development strategies to significantly improve the global supply base, including support of critical supplier capacity, manufacturing, supply chain and delivery issues to ensure the continuity of supply to our customers. Additionally, the position provides a critical role in proactive supplier readiness for volume increases, product launches and alternative sourcing strategies, as applicable. Key responsibilities • Actively engage with suppliers and supply chains to improve on-time delivery and mitigate long-term constraints. • Focus on low-performing suppliers and drive actions to resolve the root cause of low performance. • Develop and implement actions and strategies with suppliers, procurement, supply chain, engineering and quality to address supplier capacity, manufacturing and supply chain constraints. • Support Material Planning and manufacturing facilities teams on complex supply plans; analyze supply/demand to determine recovery planning. • On-site supplier problem solving as needed, containment set-up or production monitoring on a need-to-support basis. • Ensure timely implementation of permanent corrective actions and resolution. • Move easily between big-picture thinking and managing relevant detail. • Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required. • Maintain consistent and clear communication with executive leadership and key stakeholders on status and resolution of critical supplier issues. • Conduct in-depth data analysis on projected supply chain impacts, weaving in gap-closure plans; simplify complex data for executive status reports. • Lead resolution of a wide range of complex problems in innovative ways, including issues where precedent may not exist. • Bring wide-ranging experience, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in innovative and effective ways. • Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend solutions/best practices. • Train, guide and mentor other professionals or colleagues with less experience. • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel, lead functional teams or projects, and serve as a best practice/quality resource. Requirements – education & experience Bachelor's degree, at least 8 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience, and 1 year lead experience OR Master's degree, at least 6 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience, and 1 year lead experience OR At least 10 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience and 1 year lead experience Required skills • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills • Strong Excel and supply chain data analytic skills • Ability to set priorities, multitask and meet deadlines • Ability to work well under pressure • Ability to work effectively with teams to deliver results • Attention to detail, willingness to achieve high standards and continuously improve
