About this role

Role summary / purpose The Validation Test Technician executes the actual product testing per a test plan and OEM Specifications. The technician is responsible for an accurate test set-up, data collection, and data reporting. Key responsibilities The technician will be testing products from multiple product lines before they go to market. Responsibilities include: • Validation test operation/execution • Full life cycle product test ownership • Ensuring accurate test reporting • Communication to Test Engineering for approval/notification • Direct interaction with product engineers to ensure compliance • Maintaining open communication with Validation Engineering to ensure performance of the product • Maintaining a clean/safe work environment/area • Process Oriented • Good Communicator • Flexibility to meet customer requirements may require adjustment to hours / shift schedule Requirements – education & experience • High School Diploma • Attention to Detail • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate in a courteous and effective manner • Ability to plan and organize giving attention to detail and follow through • Self-starter and able to work independently and reliable daily schedule Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Working towards Associate's Degree in Engineering (EE/EET, ME/MET, Electronics, Automotive Technology, Materials, Chemical) or related technical discipline • Familiarity with test equipment: i.e. DMM (Digital Multimeter), ARB (Arbitrary Waveform Generator), Power Supply, Oscilloscopes, Generators, SEM, Analytical Chemistry, and etc. • Candidates should demonstrate strong professional and technical competence. They should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be responsible and capable of self-direction, have strong leadership skills driving self and organization to improve performance, be a team player, and display a high level of maturity.
