Role summary / purpose The Project Analyst III supports maintenance and project activities while managing the use of SAP to ensure reliable and cost-effective Pipeline and Terminal operations. Key responsibilities • Create all requisitions for materials and services for capital projects • Support and manage change order requests; communicate with Project Leads and buyers to verify proper documentation is included and POs are updated correctly • Support Project Leads with purchase order and invoice issues, communicating with vendor and Accounts Payable to identify cause of issue and determine proper resolution • Request position IDs for contract Project Leads to enable ALM setup with Project Manager roles • Request SAP Access and ALM roles for all new Project employees and contractors • Provide support to Project Leads on researching project data and system information • Create and release networks and labor/expense activities on new Capital Projects. Verify and/or update activity coding on existing labor networks • Coordinate with Procurement Business Partners and Category Management when vendor additions and/or changes are needed • Coordinate with procurement to verify that requisitions are quickly converted to purchase orders and confirming with vendors purchase order receipt • Ensure costs are settled correctly, scope and instructions are fit for purpose and applicable policies and procedures are referenced • Review and monitor Project documentation to verify accuracy and validity • Provide support to Project Leads and PCLs in determining cause and resolution of SAP system errors • Serve as the Projects SAP SME, AM/P SuperUser and EPPM Trainer • Conduct SAP training for Project Builder requisitioning and serve as the primary contact for Projects SAP support • Provide training and support to Process Reliability Analysts in utilizing Project Builder for requisitioning • Create and manage work orders for Projects contingent labor and to ensure the project time/cost allocations are updated regularly to reflect proper project allocations Requirements – education & experience • Legally authorized to work in the United States • High school diploma or GED equivalent • 3 or more years of experience in maintenance via SAP or similar systems • Capital projects experience and requisitioning experience in SAP Required skills • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office • Demonstrated ability to read and understand related drawings and technical documents • SAP proficiency – non-negotiable; ability to troubleshoot POs in SAP and ensure vendors are set up correctly Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Associate's degree or higher • 5 or more years of experience in maintenance via SAP or similar systems • Experience in SAP or similar Maintenance Management System • Experience in Procurement activities • Experience supporting multiple projects • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of pipeline and terminal equipment Employment details – type, location, hours Contract length: 2 year contract, could be extended Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote; 5/8 schedule
