About this role
Role summary / purpose Support, maintenance and development of tools utilized to generate cyber security events and incidents. The Analyst will work closely with peers, other internal/external teams and management in a 24x7 Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) environment. The Analyst is also responsible for following processes and procedures as defined by Cybersecurity leadership and the Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT). Key responsibilities • Monitor security alerts and events generated across the environment • Perform daily investigation and triage of potential threats • Correlate activity across multiple security tools to identify malicious behavior or suspicious activity • Maintain and facilitate the cyber incident response procedure Requirements – education & experience • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or other degrees with high level understanding of network and application security and information systems, or equivalent experience • 5–9 years of experience Required skills • Technology savvy with experience in key Microsoft Office products • Strong verbal and written communications • Experience managing small projects and maintaining organized plans/trackers • Ability to work in a technical environment • Willingness to work a 6pm-6am night shift Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Experience with developer and/or automation tools • Cyber security experience (not a pre-requisite) Employment details – type, location, hours Virtual position with requirement to sit close to a facility. Position includes multiple shift phases: onboarding phase (3-5 months, 9am-5pm); incubation phase (9am-5pm or 10am-6pm based on team needs); night shift (6pm-6am, duration varies from 3 months to 2 years); day shift (6am-6pm). Must be eligible to convert.
