About this role
Role summary / purpose A UAS Crewmember will be responsible for coordinating a team of UAS Junior Crewmembers / UAS Crewmember Apprentices. The UAS Crewmember schedules work, submits Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airspace Authorization requests, performs field checks/audits, coordinates with business unit partners and stakeholders, ensures crewmember compliance with UAS policy, Flight Operations Manual (FOM), and standard operating procedures. Additionally, the UAS Crewmember will be responsible to comply with applicable federal regulations while flying unmanned aerial systems. The UAS Crewmember may also act as a visual observer and will be required to maintain proficiencies as required for the mission they are assigned to. Key responsibilities • Coordinate and supervise a team of UAS Junior Crewmembers / UAS Crewmember Apprentices • Schedule work and manage crew assignments • Submit Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airspace Authorization requests • Perform field checks and audits • Coordinate with business unit partners and stakeholders • Ensure crewmember compliance with UAS policy, Flight Operations Manual (FOM), and standard operating procedures • Comply with applicable federal regulations while operating unmanned aerial systems • Act as a visual observer as needed • Maintain required proficiencies for assigned missions Requirements – education & experience • 3 years of logged wire-environment flying for commercial purposes • 3 years of supervisory experience in the UAS industry Required skills • FAA Part 107 Commercial Remote Pilot in Command Certificate • State UAS Commercial Permit • Valid Driver's License
