About this role

Role summary / purpose To support the PMC QA organization by providing QA oversight and leading/executing audits across contractor and project quality systems. In addition to supporting the PMC QA group in metrics, tracking, reporting and other PMC QA deliverables. Key responsibilities • Provide QA oversight of PMC Renewable (Solar, BESS) Projects as directed. • Verify equipment suppliers, contractors, vendors, etc., are performing work in accordance with the PMC Quality Assurance Program, industry standards, codes and contractual requirements and specifications through inspections, surveillance/audits, document reviews and ongoing monitoring at construction sites. • Lead and perform auditing services and assessments of equipment suppliers, contractors, vendors, etc., quality programs including manufacturing, shop fabrication, field fabrication and construction activities, and may provide auditing of internal PMC processes. • Support the development of Quality Assurance procedures and documents to support the Quality Assurance Program. • Provide input for the continued development of Quality Assurance Programs. • Write detailed reports of inspections, surveillances and audits performed at supplier facilities and construction sites. • Review suppliers, contractors, vendors, etc., Quality Programs for adequacy, completeness, and applicability to quality work to be performed. • Perform weekly site walks with the Contractor. • Complete weekly reports detailing QA/QC updates per the approved plan. • Perform periodic monitoring of contractor in-process work to verify compliance. • Manage the nonconformance process for the project. • Complete Quality observations as required by the approved site-specific quality plan. • Support the project in accordance with the approved site-specific quality plan and owner requirements. • Review and comment on ITPs, contractor submitted Quality documents, and other documents as requested. • Perform weekly, bi-weekly, and as-needed site visits to provide QA support. Requirements – education & experience • Ability to provide QA oversight on large utility-scale new construction projects. • Experience with new generation renewable (Solar, BESS, hydro). • Quality management experience (quality tools). • Auditing experience. • Knowledge of relevant industry Codes and Standards. • Problem solving experience (Lean Six Sigma, causal analysis, etc.). Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Working experience with Procore. • Working experience with SharePoint. • Proficient working experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Employment details – type, location, hours Hybrid role with 75% travel, including travel to project sites (2-3 days per week). Site location: Orlando area and Central Florida region. Per diem available for the right candidate.
