About this role

Role summary / purpose The IT Applications Analyst role on the Automation Engineering team supports users of Tungsten Automation (formerly Kofax RPA) as well as assists other engineers with problem resolution. Workers at this level solve more complex problems and manage work with general supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. There is an after-hours on-call rotation all members of the team must take part in. Key responsibilities • Design and develop efficient automation processes with well-structured and easily maintainable code • Advanced trouble-shooting skills to help remove technical roadblocks in automation development • Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with business users and for creating and maintaining technical documentation • Act as support contact for RPA software and resolve any related issues as required • Maintain services, monitor system health, and continually look for improvements • Collaboration with other team members, product owners, and developers Requirements – education & experience Associate Degree required. Alternatively, 1 year of prior equivalent work-related experience in an Application Analyst or server administrator role. Required skills • Troubleshooting and/or problem solving experience • Critical thinking mindset • Experience with SQL or scripting languages Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Two years of application development experience • Windows server support experience • Exposure to automation software or processes • Scripting language experience • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment • Maturity, confidence and appropriate assertiveness; ability to handle stress and frustration; demonstrates adaptability to change • Proficiency with Human Performance tools, especially during testing and implementation activities Employment details – type, location, hours Remote work available with requirement to be based in Charlotte. On-call rotation required.
