Role summary / purpose This position assists in the overall management of assigned projects to ensure compliance within required budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. The role supports construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors at project sites and involves coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project objectives. Key responsibilities • Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on assigned projects • Participate in walk downs of planned work and validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements • Review contractor payment requests and verify constructability • Ensure proper resource allocation, assess field status, and resolve issues as needed • Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, local community officials, and internal teams • Assist in scope control, budget oversight, and resolution of technical issues • Build and maintain project schedules using project management software • Engage with outside vendors to determine material availability and execution schedules • Analyze key performance metrics, financial data, and operational trends to support decision-making • Interface with landowners, local regulators, state agencies, and project management committees • Reinforce expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, and appropriate work behaviors • Coordinate activities across safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, analytics, and contract administration • Perform other job-related duties as assigned Requirements – education & experience • Associate's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field • 0-5 years of experience managing project execution, including vendor and contractor coordination • Experience overseeing contractor execution Required skills • Strong organizational skills • Excellent communication abilities • Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet • Ability to interface with a wide variety of stakeholders across multiple disciplines Nice-to-have / preferred skills • PMP certification • Familiarity with utility, construction, renewable energy, or NERC compliance projects • Experience in the construction/renewables industry Employment details – type, location, hours This is an office-based role that can incorporate travel on an as-needed basis, with travel to project sites required up to 25%.
