Role summary / purpose The Data Scientist level independently leads moderately complex analytics and machine learning initiatives, translating business challenges into data-driven solutions while providing technical leadership and mentoring junior staff. Key responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models • Lead end-to-end analytics projects • Engineer features and optimize model performance • Implement model validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks • Communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Requirements – education & experience • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field • 6–10 years of professional data science experience • Experience deploying models into production Required skills • Strong proficiency in Python or R for production-ready workflows • SQL expertise with large-scale datasets • Solid knowledge of statistical inference and machine learning • Experimentation design • Independent problem-solving • Stakeholder management • Technical leadership • Strong business acumen Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Experience with MLOps and CI/CD pipelines • Cloud-native data architectures • Experience in regulated industries • Effective use of AI coding assistants
