Company introduction We are seeking a Lead Scrum Master to join our organization and work with multiple and larger scale teams on Agile-based processes. Role summary / purpose The Lead Scrum Master is responsible for working with multiple and/or larger scale teams for Agile-based processes. Incumbents work with greater independence and lead the effort to drive solutions to complete issues with multiple teams. This role works closely with other scrum masters, product owners, team members, and management in accordance with the Agile framework. Key responsibilities • Ensure the Team is fully functional and productive, shielding them from external interfaces • Exemplify a servant leadership style and role model situations and behaviors for teams • Remove barriers and impediments that are preventing the team from completing work • Capture metrics to monitor Team and project health (Burn-Down Chart, velocity, etc.) • Mentor Team members and promote Agile thinking, ensuring adherence to the process • Facilitate estimation activities (story points, Planning Poker) • Maintain the backlog and physical Scrum (task) board in partnership with the Team and Product Owner • Ensure artifact quality • Capture and track impediments, risks, and dependencies until resolution • Update teams' improvement backlog with commitments from the Retrospective • Complete and share the team's Commitment report and End of Sprint Report based on the Demo and Product Owner acceptance Requirements – education & experience • Graduation from a four-year college or university, or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree • 5+ years of experience with project concepts and practices • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience • Scrum Master certification (CSM) Nice-to-have / preferred skills • Experience moving teams and organizations from waterfall to Agile methodologies • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills • Ability to interact effectively with others at all levels of the organization • Ability to make persuasive and informative presentations
